I need to learn this

I should always be the first to apologise.
That is what God just said to me.

I've learnt that pride is painful, but humility covers everything.

It is always hard to be the first to move. Pride is always the culprit, and the end result is usually an unbridged chasm of what used to be relationships, friendship or family. Tough lesson, I am learning this one as well...and suspect I will be for quite some time.

Thanks. My issue with this was whether a person should say sorry even when it is definitely not their fault. Is that silly? Or then does it become someone making the first move and being vulnerable?

That can be argued from both sides. It really depends on the situation...hard to make that call on the fly or even with careful thought. It may come down the matter holding you back from apologizing...if it is pride then maybe it is time to apologize even if you are not wrong. If it is a matter of a person hurting you, maybe continually, it may be a matter of confrontation. It can be a tough matter.
